a studio portrait series created in madrid to strengthen manaicas’ visual identity through controlled light, clean compositions and a direct approach to presence.

about the project.
this collaborative shooting brought manaicas, tomo and vértice together to develop a new set of artist portraits in madrid.
the session focused on presence rather than excess. light, composition and atmosphere were used to place manaicas at the centre of every image and build a visual language connected to his identity.
portrait as identity.
the aim was to create photographs that could introduce the artist clearly across press, social media and future releases without tying the images to one specific campaign.

built in the studio.
working inside a controlled studio allowed the team to define every part of the image. the lighting, framing and contrast were kept precise so the focus remained on manaicas.
a clear visual direction.
vértice developed the creative direction around a clean and controlled aesthetic. each decision supported the same objective: to show confidence, character and a stronger sense of artistic identity.
made through collaboration.
tomo translated the direction into photography, shaping the atmosphere through light and composition. the process remained direct and collaborative throughout the session.

a new set of portraits.
the final series gave manaicas a consistent group of images designed to support his communication as an artist and strengthen the visual side of the project.
